About the role
We are seeking a motivated, NY-based, Project Manager with a background in web agency experience and at least 2 years of working with Shopify. The ideal candidate will have a track record of managing multiple client projects simultaneously, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full lifecycle of Shopify projects, from initial scoping to final delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into detailed project requirements, timelines, and milestones.
- Act as the primary point of contact for multiple clients, ensuring clear and consistent communication regarding project status, risks, and any necessary adjustments.
- Coordinate with web designers, developers, and other team members to ensure alignment on project goals and timely execution of deliverables.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and testing on Shopify projects to ensure they meet client specifications and industry best practices.
- Track project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Support the development and implementation of web strategies, including Shopify store enhancements, app integrations, and SEO optimization.
- Provide post-launch support to clients, addressing any issues and offering guidance on the ongoing use of Shopify.
- Make regular site updates, including app installs/uninstalls/configuration, in the Shopify admin console.
What you bring to the table
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with Shopify in a web agency or similar setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, especially client-facing projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce best practices and Shopify’s platform capabilities.
- Experience completing tasks on a Shopify site is required. Content updates, product changes, managing promotions, etc.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Project management certification (PMP, CAPM) or relevant coursework is a plus.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Trello) and web development workflows is desirable.
